- You speak for the whole hour instead of a share of it, which is the single largest factor in how fast anyone progresses.
- The vocabulary is yours: your job, your industry, the forms you have to fill in, the conversations you keep failing at.
- The pace follows you. A point that takes you ten minutes takes ten minutes, and one that takes three weeks takes three weeks.

- How often should I take private lessons?
- Twice a week is the usual rhythm for steady progress alongside a job. Once a week works if you are also hearing French around you every day; below that, most people spend the lesson catching up with themselves.
- Can I take private lessons online instead of in a centre?
- Yes, and you can alternate. The method and the trainers are the same either way, which means a week of travel does not have to mean a week without a lesson.
- Can I choose my trainer?
- Trainers are matched to your level, your objective and your availability rather than picked from a list. If the match is not working, say so: changing trainer is normal and costs nothing.
- How much do private French lessons cost?
- The price depends on the number of hours and the pace, so it is quoted after the level assessment rather than published as a rate. The assessment itself commits you to nothing.
