Get in touch
We start with a conversation, not a quote.
Write in English. Tell us where you live or where you are moving to, when you would like to start, and what you need French for. If you have no level at all, say so: it is the most common answer we get.

★★★★★
I really enjoyed my English lessons with Berlitz, the method suited me perfectly! Special mention to Camille and Sonia, whom I met several times and who are excellent teachers, pleasant and encouraging.
The level assessment
Nothing is decided before we know where you are starting from.
It is the first thing we do, and it is free. Without a starting point, an estimate of time or budget is only a guess, and we would rather not make one.
Ten levels, not six
The Berlitz scale has ten levels, where the European framework has six. It splits the intermediate stages more finely, the ones where people spend the most time, and makes progress visible.
Thirty hours per level
Each level corresponds to thirty hours of training. That rule is what turns a goal into a duration, once your starting point is known.
What you keep
Your placement, the gap to your goal and the number of hours it represents. You leave with them whether you enrol or not.
Our centres
Call the one nearest to you.
Each centre has its own team. If you would rather speak to someone, that is the shortest route.

For companies
Training a team works differently.
Training a team calls for a group assessment, a schedule that fits around the work and a different funding framework. Our page for companies explains how it works.
Before you write to us.
Will I get a quote straight away?
No, and that is deliberate. A price depends on the format, the number of hours and your starting point. We first assess your level and understand your goal. The figure comes next, and it is firm.
Do I need to speak any French already?
No. Many of the people who write to us are starting from zero. Say so in your message: the level assessment places you wherever you are, including at the very beginning.
How soon can I start?
Courses start within seventy-two hours of your funding being agreed, or within fourteen days with a French CPF training account, because of its cooling-off period. The real delay depends on how your course is funded, not on our schedules.
I have a disability. How does it work?
Every centre has a disability adviser. Mention it in your first message: the course and the premises are adapted in advance, not on the first day.
